Many tutorials are unsatisfactory because they leave out steps or the illustrations aren't clear enough - this book is great! Clear, friendly, step-by-step! I hope the author does some more books on the more recent PS upgrades.

This book is okay. Some of the steps don't seem to work properly. I'm pretty sure there are better books on using layers out there.

Very good text. Used by an instructor in an evening continuing education program. The well organized book was very easy to use and improved my skills in using Photoshop CS4 layers.
